Tom has more than 30 years of experience in financial sales services and management with US Bank, BancBoston and Bank of America prior to joining RBC Wealth Management. During this period, he served as both a lender and advisor to a number of industries including technology, software, telecom services and more basic industries such as manufacturing and retail services. Tom graduated from American University in Washington, D.C., during which time he served as a teaching assistant in undergraduate economics. He currently holds Series 7, 31 and 66 securities licenses, and is life, health and long-term care licensed.
Tom is a devoted transplant to the Pacific Northwest, having moved to Portland in 1990. He is a member of the board of governors for the Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) and a member of the Advancement Committee.
He devotes extensive time to the needs of adopted children, of which he has seven. Whatever spare time he has is focused on enjoying the fruits of the Northwest, sculpting metal art and watching the Trailblazers reinvent themselves once again. Encouraged by his wife (whose motivations remain unclear), he has taken up golf and hopes to break 100 before he reaches that age.
